After a successful first season luxury label
Moka London is looking to expand with a chic, avant-garde offering for S/S 13.
Founded last year by Dania Sakka and Mona Mourad, the
label’s primary mission is to educate young design graduates, giving them the industry knowledge and the guidance needed to take their
creative vision to the next step.
Though new designers are taken on each few seasons they are
restricted to certain parameters. High quality fabrics, heavy embellishments
and a signature print each season are the threads that run throughout, giving
the label consistency and commercial appeal.
Rocio Villena is this season’s designer, and for S/S 13 Villena
was inspired by armor, utilizing graphic structured shapes with a mixture of
textures and prints across an array of designs including bodies, cat suits,
structured tops with subtle peplums, dresses, full length skirts and tailored
trousers.
