Victoria Beckham has announced the launch of an optical collection for S/S 2013.
Launching with six styles, each offered in three tonal colour ways, the collection will be launched to retailers at the trade event Silmo Paris, arriving in stores from January 2013.
The collection is manufactured in partnership with Cutler and Gross and each piece will be handcrafted in Italy.
Central to the collection is the sense of texture and detailing found in Beckham’s sunglasses range, which was first launched in 2009.
Complimentary to the sunglasses range, the optical collection will blend iconic silhouettes with signature branding details such as the diamond faceted ‘V’ featured on the tip of each frame.
Translucent washes of sepia stained colour emulate 1950's cellulose material used on film strips and period eye wear, with naturally inspired materials such as whispered horn with pearl oyster interior lining used across the collection.
The prices are set to be equally luxurious, with each pair ranging from £295 to £340 a pop.
What do you think of the sneak peek of the Optical range? I think it fits in perfectly with my August Geek Chic inspiration!
