British women’s leather label Muubaa is on a journey from cult name to covetable, high end global brand after working with an agency to re brand its image for the A/W 12-13 season, alongside the launch of a new ad campaign.
This transformation includes a new positioning strategy and visual identity, generating a brand new ‘look and feel’ for the label, which was first established in 2007.
Already the plan seems to be working as high calibre stores such as Liberty, Fenwick and Harvey Nichols are lining up to stock the label alongside a selected handful of womenwear boutiques.
For A/W 12 the label delivers on two fronts; easy wear, off duty styles combined with stand out statement pieces, but always with an underlying elegance and simplicity.
The line up of jackets is defined by asymmetric lines, draped silhouettes and a muted colour palette with highlights of jewel tones. An unlined style in cherry red suede and a black biker jacket in Toscana shearling with contrast leather panels are particular favourites of mine.
What do you think of Muubaa's lust-worthy line up of jackets - will you be investing come Autumn?
