The thing about Nancy

A sneaky peek now at Designer Nancy Van Ostren’s A/W  12 collection, Decocentric, which is functional yet elegant, with strong tailored lines and the brand’s signature panelling running throughout.

I think it will be the perfect continuation of this summers’ sportswear trend I blogged about earlier but with main materials like cashmere and felted wools in subdued black, grey and beige the A/W 12 line will take you easily into the harsh winter months.
As you can see trousers, skirts and jumpsuits are all intersected with silk and leather panels in metallic sky blue and scarlet. Geometric shapes, meanwhile, provide a retro 1960s edge to proceedings in a more modern silhouette.

The range, which was launched in 2009, is carefully edited, supplying  only wardrobe classics such as belted coats and capes with structural shoulders and fitted mini-dresses with both cap and long sleeves.
Work-appropriate tailored tops and trousers are another core part of the range – perfect for my London move – and although I won’t be able to afford anything from the collection I will certainly be keeping my eye out for high street look-a-likes!
